New Features and Improvements

• Merge Customer Records: Added a merge customer records feature, which allows you to merge duplicate contacts. This feature is available from the toolbar on the Customers screen or by right-clicking on selected customer records.
  
  
• Quick Booking Screen: Added a new Quick Booking screen, which is designed to quickly list all rooms, rates, and packages for a specific date range. This feature can be used to provide a quick quote to a customer, or to quickly book a room. This feature is available on the toolbar, and can be accessed from any screen.
  
  
• Occupancy Map Color Flag: Added a color flag option for reservations on the occupancy map. To access this feature, right-click on any reservation in the Occupancy Map and click "Color Flag". To remove the color flag, right-click on the reservation and select "Remove Color Flag". To clear all color flags, right-click on any flagged reservation and click "Remove all Color Flags".
  
  
• Occupancy Map Custom Colors: Added an option to customize the colors for the Occupancy Map. To access this feature, go to the Configuration menu, and from the right side of the screen, select "Lists and Occupancy Map". Click the link for "Select Occupancy Map Colors".
  
  
• Occupancy Map Reservation Detail Improvements: Added additional options for the Occupancy Map display, which allows you to show additional information for a reservation such as phone #, company name, and address. This feature can be accessed via Configuration > Software Settings > Lists and Occupancy Map.
  
  
• Automatic Credit Card Purge: New security feature which allows you to automatically purge credit cards on a specified schedule, including: immediately after a charge is processed (if you are using QuickBooks Merchant Services), a specific number of days after a charge is recorded or processed, or a specific number of days after a reservation has departed. Regardless of the setting, the last 4 digits and expiration date of the card will be stored for reference purposes. In addition, if you are using QuickBooks Merchant Services, you will still be able to process refunds even if the associated credit card has been purged. This feature is disabled by default and can be accessed via Configuration > Property Settings > Payments and Cancellation Fee Settings.
  
  
• Automatic Credit Card Encryption Key Rotation: New security feature which automatically cycles the encryption keys used to store credit cards once a year, in order to provide better security for credit card data.
  
  
• Manual Credit Card Encryption Key Rotation: Added a new security feature which allows you to cycle the encryption keys to maintain tighter security, or if you suspect that an unauthorized person has accessed your computer or network. This feature can be accessed via Configuration > Property Settings > Payments and Cancellation Fee Settings.
  
  
• User Access Restrictions for Credit Card Data: Added a new security feature which allows you to restrict user access for viewing credit cards and running refunds without referencing transactions. This feature can be accessed via Configuration > Software Settings > Users. Select the user you wish to modify, click the Edit button. The new credit card security options will be listed at the bottom of the screen.
  
  
• Out of Service Label: Added a reason for out of service label when taking a room out of service.
  
  
• Network Setup Wizard: Added a network setup wizard which can be used to quickly deploy remote / network computers. The network setup wizard is available for download here.
  
  
• Booking Engine - Allow Booking of Orphaned Room Nights: Added a feature which allows 1 night stays to be booked even when 2 or more night minimum is required. This feature is optional and is disabled by default. To enable this feature, please contact RezOvation Support.
  
  
• Booking Engine - Arrival Time Field: Added a new field to the Booking Engine checkout which allows the guest to specify arrival time. This feature can be enabled via Configuration > Online Reservations > Booking Engine. Check the box on the left side for "Ask guest to specify arrival time".
  
  
• Booking Engine - Other Names Field: Added a new field to the Booking Engine checkout which allows the guest to specify other guest names. This feature can be enabled via Configuration > Online Reservations > Booking Engine. Check the box on the left side for "Ask guest to specify other guest names".
  
  
• Packages Codes for Letter Templates: Added [sLodgingPackages] and [sAddonPackages] template codes to the Confirmation, Folio, and Booking Engine Confirmation templates.
  
  
• Include / Do Not Include Out of Service Units in Occupancy % Calculations Setting: Added an option to not include OOS units in occupancy % calculations. Access this option via Configuration > Software Settings > Reports.
  
  
• Toolbar Reorganization: Changed the order of some items in the Toolbar.

Bug Fixes

• Resolved a problem where adding room & attaching an amenity caused the room to be unavailable.
• Resolved a problem where adding a new room with an amenity was causing the room availability to be blacked out by default.
• Improved the Balance Due field on Edit Reservation so that it no longer wraps.
• Resolved an issue where adding an Add-On package to a reservation increases the number of people.
• Resolved a problem which was causing the Occupancy Map to crash in some cases when using multi-book.
• Resolved a problem where refund transactions were not always exporting to QuickBooks.
• Improved QuickBooks export so that credit card hold transactions are no longer exported.
• Fixed an issue which was causing property pictures to be shown in the incorrect order in the Booking Engine availability search.
• Fixed a problem where packages with date restrictions were not displaying after 2008.
• Improved display of the Booking Engine check out pages to display room name above rate breakdown on Complete Order step when booking a single room.
• Fixed an issue with the Booking Engine Availability Calendar which would sometimes show incorrect availability for properties using rate management option 3 (room types).
• Fixed a bug where deleting an amenity would not delete it from the list of amenities in the room.
• Fixed the version # display in Windows Add/Remove Programs.
• Improved the Add Reservation screen so that adding a room to a reservation and then canceling the reservation cancels the booked room automatically.
• Fixed a problem where adding a credit card refund without a credit card number would cause the program to crash.
• Fixed a problem where adding a payment to an invoice would cause a 'Unable to add a payment to this invoice' error.
• Fixed a problem with the BedandBreakfast.com online reservations checkout which caused the Travel Summary Total to appear incorrectly.
• Fixed an issue with the Booking Engine where a change to travel dates at the end of the checkout process was not committing to the database.
• Fixed a problem with the BedandBreakfast.com online reservations checkout which was causing cancel fee dates to appear incorrectly.
• Fixed a problem with the Edit Packages screen which prevented multiple package charges from being calculated correctly on the invoice in some cases.
• Improved the BedandBreakfast.com online reservations "No Availability" page so that it links back to the property website instead of to BedandBreakfast.com
• Fixed a bug with the Packages configuration which was prevent Rate Types changes from being saved.
